COMPETENCIES (TECHNICAL / BEHAVIORAL)

Have at least 10 years or more in management of IT projects, some years in program management
Knowledge of Trade finance domain
Proven experience in running large scale and cross geographic project implementation
A good communicator who can influence and manage project stakeholders and senior management
Good team player with great commitment and attitude.
Good coordination skill among multiple teams that are cross-cultural and cross-country.
Able to work independently as well as in a team to resolve issues and/or identify solutions in a timely manner.
Strong analytical skills and attention to details.

POSITION PURPOSE

The Trade Finance Project Manager takes accountability of specific IT standardization initiatives for APAC. He is responsible to work and drive on a Trade Program Roadmap with regional IT teams, all project stakeholders and business analysis to conceive with implementation, follow through with technical teams for solutioning and present to steering committees for approval. For the approved initiatives, he will manage, lead the production deployment and implementation of these projects.
It is required for the person to be familiar with Agile methodology and project management processes; ensuring users are fully engaged with system development over multiple phases of the implementation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Takes accountability of Trade Projects and drive the planning, responsible for the delivery from inception to implementation.
Working closely with Product managers, Operation teams (both middle and back office) and IT (global/regional), business analysts to rationalize the scope and business case for the project proposal. Present the solutions for steering committee approval.
Managing these approved initiatives, new business TACs/NACs and their interdependencies. Working with the respective IT teams on the daily activities of the projects, and able to influence key stakeholders on decision making.
Overall tracking and overseeing the solution delivery; including the traceability of the solutions, working with the scrum master in the sprints daily to facilitate and monitor the project delivery execution.
Communicate regularly and update project status to all stakeholders; and identify, remove roadblocks to secure timelines for production go-live.
Run steering committees, project committees to communicate project delivery, risk management and record decisions and validation for implementation.
Responsible for the budget of these projects and tracking actuals.
Work with users on the test plan and responsible for end-to-end testing strategy and execution -To develop SIT/UAT/NRT scope and approach. To guide testing team in writing test scenarios/cases and review to get signoff from stakeholders. To rationalize test cases when needed to match with available team bandwidth and target timeline.
To validate SIT test results produced by testing team to signoff.
To assist users in planning/executing UAT, analyzing defects, and defining defects priority for fix delivery by development team.
Documenting/reviewing user manuals and release notes as required
Assist in providing tactical/strategic solutions for new client requirements
Assist in the conversion/migration exercise where necessary
For production defects, perform functional analysis and propose solutions.
Ensure Bank compliance policies and CIB ITO APAC standards/practices are strictly followed
