Description This is a full-time, direct placement role at a full service Architectural & Engineering Firm. Job Summary: We are looking for a motivated Architectural Graduate with minimum of 5 years of experience. An individual that is looking to advance their career through diverse project experiences, and a desire for exposure to all aspects of the profession. Architect Job Responsibilities: • Understand and implement brand design intent manuals • Working knowledge of building codes • Develop preliminary plans • Researches, programs, plans, designs, and administers building projects for clients, applying knowledge of architectural design, construction detailing, construction procedures, zoning and building codes, and building materials and systems. • Produces conceptual plans, renderings, and documents. • Plans and programs layout of project(s); coordinates and integrates engineering elements into unified design for client review and approval. • Utilizes computer-assisted design software and equipment to prepare project designs and plans. • Produces construction documents in AutoCAD. • May direct, supervise, and check activities of workers engaged in preparing drawings and specification documents for the Conceptual Design Phase, Schematic Design Phase, and/or the Detailed Design Phase of a project. • May travel to perform field verification of sites • Interfaces with Director of Architecture. • Works in tandem with highly collaborative multi-discipline design teams. • Coordinate with signage team • Assists in research and coordination of materials and products for project specifications. Requirements • Ability to provide elegant and effect design solutions • A positive, creative, and professional approach to project deliverables. • Knowledge of Tenant Finish Design Packages: interior materials and finishes, floor plans, furniture plans, finish plans, reflected ceiling plans, interior elevations, interior details, millwork details, ceiling details etc. • Proficient in different construction types, building codes, and detailing. • Excellent oral and written communication skills • Analytical and problem-solving skills • High attention to details • Ability to work under indirect supervision • Effective interpersonal skill and collaborative management style to include teamwork and team building ability • Comfortable with ambiguity and time spent outside of comfort zone acquiring new skills • Technically creative and open- minded Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements: • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in architecture from an accredited institution • 5+ years of architectural experience preferably within the commercial, hospitality, health clubs, office, retail, animal care, and restaurant industry • Understanding and knowledge of building codes, zoning regulations, building construction, building systems, and site requirements • Proficiency in AutoCad and Microsoft Office is required. Proficiency in SketchUp, Enscape or equal, Photoshop, Illustrator is preferred
