The Opportunity As a Project Manager within the Balance of Plant (BoP) area at Hinkley Point C, you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering complex installation and commissioning contracts tied to ancillary buildings. This is a technically demanding position where you’ll lead multidisciplinary teams, manage contractor performance, and ensure that projects are delivered safely, on time, and to budget. You’ll interface with key stakeholders across design, construction, and delivery, taking full accountability for contract management, change control, and lifecycle delivery in support of EDF’s journey towards An Electric Britain. This role is based on-site at #HinkleyPointC, reflecting the importance of close collaboration with contractors and stakeholders in a live construction environment. You’ll typically spend two days per week on site, and 1 day from either our Bridgwater or Bristol office. Flexible working arrangements can be discussed in line with project needs, ensuring you’re supported while contributing to one of the UK’s most ambitious energy programmes. This role offers significant scope and responsibility, giving you exposure to large-scale contract governance, financial control, and complex stakeholder engagement. Who You Are We’re looking for a Project Manager with experience in complex construction or engineering environments who thrives on accountability, collaboration, and delivering results in regulated settings. To be shortlisted, you need to offer… Proven experience delivering projects in technically complex, highly regulated environments (e.g. nuclear, energy, infrastructure) Experience managing contractors and supply chains across large-scale construction or engineering projects Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g. APM, PRINCE2) and lifecycle delivery Demonstrable experience in contract management, including variations, claims, and change control Experience managing project budgets, schedules, and risk using relevant tools and systems Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and engage effectively with multinational stakeholders What You’ll Be Doing Leading the delivery of contracts across installation and commissioning scopes for ancillary buildings Managing contractor performance, ensuring alignment with safety, quality, schedule, and budget requirements Overseeing contract administration, including variations, claims, and technical queries Monitoring project progress, identifying risks, and resolving issues across the project lifecycle Driving change control processes, ensuring robust governance and minimal impact on live contracts Pay, Benefits and Culture Alongside a salary between £70,000 - £80,000, potential for an annual bonus, and a market-leading pension scheme, your package will include customisable benefits such as electric vehicle leasing, discounted gym membership, life assurance, tech vouchers, experience days, and more.
