REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proven project management experience in manufacturing, engineering, or a related field (experience in bespoke access platforms or similar, particularly for aerospace, rail, manufacturing, or vehicle sectors, is highly desirable).
  • Strong customer-facing skills, with the ability to conduct site surveys, propose tailored solutions, and manage client expectations across diverse industries.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with fabrication teams and external stakeholders, ensuring quality outcomes.
  • Ability to adapt across sales, operational, and technical tasks in a dynamic environment while prioritizing quality manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, the relevant British standards, and project management methodologies.
  • Full UK driving license (for site visits).

THE ROLE

We are seeking a skilled Project Manager to lead our bespoke design and manufacturing projects for access platforms. This role is central to our bespoke division, requiring you to manage projects from concept to completion, collaborate closely with our fabrication team, and engage directly with clients in aerospace, rail, manufacturing, and vehicle sectors to deliver tailored solutions. You will combine project management expertise with customer-facing skills and operational flexibility to ensure high-quality outcomes delivered on time, with a focus on achieving superior end products through meticulous manufacturing processes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee bespoke access platform projects, managing the design and manufacturing process to meet client specifications, budgets, and timelines while ensuring exceptional quality in the end product for our clients.
  • Liaise with clients to understand requirements, conduct site surveys, propose customized solutions, provide accurate pricing, and deliver order updates and aftercare support.
  • Work closely with the fabrication team to ensure designs are translated into high-quality products, resolving technical or production challenges to maintain superior manufacturing standards.
  • Manage supplier relations, including requesting pricing, sourcing materials, and leveraging material knowledge to ensure cost-effective and high-quality production.
  • Demonstrate flexibility in balancing sales tasks (e.g., client negotiations and solution development), operational duties (e.g., coordinating production workflows), and supplier coordination to achieve quality outcomes.
  • Foster strong relationships with clients as well as with the fabrication team and suppliers, through excellent communication and a positive, proactive attitude.
  • Ensure all projects adhere to the relevant British standards and rigorous quality requirements, delivering exceptional end products that reflect our commitment to quality manufacturing.
