As our Project Manager, you are responsible for the planning, implementation and follow-up of various technical projects and minor renovations within our site in Westerlo.
At Biobest’s headquarters in Westerlo, we are pioneers in the field of sustainable agriculture. We breed bumblebees, mites and beneficial insects and process crop protection products for growers worldwide. From our facility, we carefully package and transport these living products to more than 60 countries, where they play a vital role in promoting healthy crops through environmentally friendly applications.
We strive to be the most reliable provider of Integrated Pest Management solutions for our customers. We do this by critically reviewing our activities and processes, with a view to continuous improvement. In this context, we are looking for a Project Manager who has gained a first experience in (building) technical projects.

Responsibilities
  • Analysing the needs of the internal stakeholders.
  • Drawing up an annual plan and keeping an overview of the various projects.
  • Developing and planning suitable, high-quality and efficient solutions, with important attention to safety during and after the works.
  • Coordinating internal technicians (in consultation with the maintenance manager) and external parties to achieve the desired result.
  • Ensuring that all environmental, health and safety regulations on site are respected during all operations.
  • Acting quickly in the event of calamities during the projects and coordinating internal and external stakeholders to solve problems quickly and permanently.
  • Providing communication to all parties involved. Organizing project meetings and stakeholder management.
  • Managing and drafting (technical) documentation, procedures and post-intervention file
  • Prepare budget estimates and identify cost savings opportunities for the assigned projects.
  • Follow-up and monitoring of the project budgets.
  • Periodic reporting of progress of the projects to plant management.
