Description:
A long established and highly successful Regional Building Contractor are looking to appoint a Project Manager to join their team. The company deliver a wide range of new build and refurbishment projects for public and private sector clients up to £50m. The first project you will be responsible for delivering is a high rise residential project in Manchester.
The Project Manager will hold full responsibility for the management and delivery of a project, from inception through to project handover.
Project Manager role will include:
- Help develop the projects main works programmes and ensure that no work commences on site until the health and safety policy and the relevant construction phase plan is in place.
- Provide leadership and support to the site team and help to develop people within your Team
- Comply with the requirements of the company’s Quality Procedure and Manual
- Manage all sub-contractors and supply chain effectively
- Ensure best practices and quality are being maintained
- Be proactive in the identification and resolution of problems
- Ensuring the project runs to program and budget
- Work closely and liaise as required with the design team
- Develop and maintain excellent relationships with the client and their representatives
- Monitor the progress of the project and manage issues as they arise
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Demonstrable experience of successfully delivering projects over £10m at Project Manager level for Main Contractors
- Previous experience of delivering city centre apartments or other multi occupancy projects as the Project lead
- Experience of Project Planning
- Strong leadership skills and excellent communication skills
- Strong Commercial awareness
- Excellent working knowledge of construction techniques, methodologies and processes
