Job Description:
Reporting to the Sr. Director, ERP & Enterprise Applications, the IT Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the successful planning, execution, and delivery of complex IT projects. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, manage project timelines, budgets, and resources, and ensure that projects are completed within scope and meet the highest quality standards.
Role and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Lead the end-to-end project management of complex IT projects, from initiation to closure, ensuring successful delivery within agreed timelines, budget, and scope.
- Ability to manage multiple projects with competing priorities.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define project objectives, requirements, and deliverables, and ensure alignment with business goals.
- Day to day management of vendors throughout the duration of the project (contract signing to warranty).
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, including timelines, milestones, tasks, and resource allocation.
- Manage project risks, issues, and dependencies, and implement effective mitigation strategies.
- Monitor project progress, track key performance indicators, and provide regular status updates to stakeholders.
- Provide monthly status reports and presentations (if required) about key projects to the Senior Leadership Team.
- Foster effective communication and collaboration among project team members and stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct thorough project reviews and lessons learned sessions to identify areas for improvement and implement best practices.
- Create change management and communication plans for all projects.
- Ensure compliance and alignment with all applicable policies and processes is maintained.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and project management methodologies, and apply them to enhance project delivery.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7+ years of experience in project management within information technology, with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices.
- Project management skills including the development of strategic plans, business cases, and project charters.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire cross-functional teams.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong business acumen in project planning and management.
- Strong verbal, written, and organizational skills.
- Experience with managing software projects is highly desirable.
- Experience with an ERP implementation is highly desirable.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) designation is highly desirable.
