Overview Calcite is Esri’s design system powering cohesive and scalable user experiences across web, mobile, and desktop applications for internal teams and external partners. We are looking for a Project Manager who combines strong execution skills with operational efficiency to help drive Calcite’s adoption, improve cross-functional collaboration, and deliver impactful engagement strategies across Esri teams. You’ll manage cross-functional projects, streamline team operations, and strengthen collaboration between design, engineering, and product teams to achieve defined scope, schedule, and deliverables. Responsibilities Foster partnerships with Esri product teams to gather feedback and align use to help drive Calcite adoption and gather feedback Organize meetings, surveys, and follow-ups to document and prioritize user needs Lead team operations by maintaining project tools and driving internal process improvements Produce and distribute team-wide communications, including the Quarterly Connect and monthly newsletters Support governance processes, usage tracking, and metrics dashboards to monitor system performance Analyze user feedback and trends to inform strategic roadmaps and prioritize initiatives Work cross-functionally with design, engineering, and product teams to deliver impactful engagement strategies Coordinate purchase requests, including justification and implementation for tools, conferences, and events Requirements 5+ years of experience in Project Management or related field Proven track record of managing complex cross-functional projects with diverse teams, preferably within design systems or in a technology domain Familiarity with project management tools such as Monday.com, GitHub, Confluence, or similar platforms Strong project and task management skills to lead cross-functional teams and ensure completion of tasks through various phases of development Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities to bridge design, engineering, and product teams effectively Experience streamlining team operations, driving process improvements, and managing logistical aspects of events and purchases Ability to analyze trends, translate feedback into actionable insights, and contribute to project roadmaps Experience with planning and implementation, including executing priorities, tracking tasks, and setting milestones Skilled in organizing and maintaining clear, accessible documentation via spreadsheets, distribution lists, and Confluence pages Ability to coordinate and lead meetings such as stakeholder meetings, onsite events, and retrospectives, with clear communication of updates, risks, and mitigations A bachelor’s degree in Human Factors Engineering, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related field Recommended Qualifications Experience with design systems such as Esri’s Calcite Design System or similar design frameworks Hands-on knowledge of agile methodologies and tools for sprint planning and retrospectives Familiarity with analytics platforms for dashboard creation and performance tracking Understanding of scalable team operations and governance processes within a tech organization Background in facilitating remote team events and logistics coordination Project Management certification like PMP (Project Management Professional), CSM (Certified ScrumMaster), PMI-ACP (Agile Certified Practitioner), or similar Master’s degree in Human Factors Engineering, Information Technology, Business Administration with an emphasis in Project Management, Industrial-Organizational Psychology, or related field #LI-JH4 #LI-Hybrid Total Rewards Esri’s competitive total rewards strategy includes industry-leading health and welfare benefits: medical, dental, vision, basic and supplemental life insurance for employees (and their families), 401(k) and profit-sharing programs, minimum accrual of 80 hours of vacation leave, twelve paid holidays throughout the calendar year, and opportunities for personal and professional growth. Base salary is one component of our total rewards strategy. Compensation decisions and the base range for this role take into account many factors including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.
