At Caljan, we are looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead the commercial, contractual, and operational execution of large and strategic customer projects and project portfolios. About the Role As Project Manager, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of complex customer projects from sales handover through final project completion. You will act as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the project lifecycle and play a key role in coordinating collaboration between customers, system integrators, and internal stakeholders. You will work closely with Sales, Engineering, Operations, and project teams across the organization, while also serving as a senior sparring partner and escalation point internally. This role combines project leadership, stakeholder management, commercial understanding, and technical insight in an international and highly collaborative environment. Key Responsibilities Commercial & Contractual Responsibility Ensure professional commercial and contractual execution of projects and project portfolios Review and interpret customer contracts and project-specific agreements Proactively manage project risks, changes, and claims Act as the primary escalation and decision point towards customers and system integrators Project Planning & Execution Establish and maintain structured project plans Coordinate cross-functional project execution across Sales, Engineering, Purchasing, Production, Automation, Shipping, and Installation Monitor project progress, quality, delivery timelines, and financial performance Drive lessons learned and continuous improvements for complex project execution Stakeholder & Customer Management Build and develop long-term relationships with selected key customers Lead customer meetings regarding planning, progress, risks, and commercial matters Ensure clear communication and expectation alignment across stakeholders Represent the voice of the customer internally throughout project execution Strategic Contribution Act as sparring partner to the Director of Projects on strategic initiatives Contribute to the development of project governance, processes, and execution models Support and mentor project managers handling larger or more complex projects We imagine that you: Have extensive experience managing projects in a technical, engineering, or production environment Have strong commercial and contractual project management experience Thrive in complex international project environments with multiple stakeholders Are structured, proactive, and able to maintain overview in complex situations Possess strong communication and relationship-building skills Have sufficient technical understanding to engage confidently with customers and specialists Furthermore, we prefer that you: Hold a relevant technical or commercial degree Have experience working with international customers and/or system integrators Have formal project management certification such as PRINCE2, PMP, IPMA, or similar Are fluent in English, both written and spoken Fluency in Danish and/or German is an advantage Have experience within material handling or logistics solutions (considered an advantage, not a requirement) Technically proficient – able to understand, explain and justify Caljan’s technical solutions in detail, including why a solution is designed as it is, and why alternative approaches may not meet functional, commercial or risk-related requirements. Ability to access and navigate 3D models (Inventor), drawings and BOM’s will be an advantage.
