An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Facility Development Unit within Total Asset Management (TAM) at NBMLHD as a Project Manager – Capital Works. This role plays a vital part in supporting the district’s strategic infrastructure goals through effective asset management practices.
Total Asset Management translates organisational objectives into asset-related decisions, plans, and activities that balance cost, risk, and performance. Using a whole-of-lifecycle approach, TAM ensures the delivery of defined service outcomes that support the long-term sustainability and functionality of healthcare facilities.
As Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading selected renovation, refurbishment, and capital works projects across various NBMLHD facilities. Your work will contribute directly to enhancing the built environment and ensuring that infrastructure meets the evolving needs of patients, staff, and the wider community.

Responsibilities
  • Qualifications in building / engineering / architectural / project management or equivalent experience in same
  • Demonstrated experience in overseeing effective change in a health service, including industrial, operational commissioning, communications, risk management.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the BCA, Australasian Health Facility Guidelines and Australian Standards.
  • Demonstrated experience in the management of fee proposals from project consultants.
  • Understanding of inter-relationships between models of care, facility options and departmental operational policies and procedures.
  • Well-developed written and oral communications skills with the ability to develop strong working relationships with the project team, district management and key stakeholders.
  • Proficient computer skills to include Microsoft office and Asset Databases online.
  • Current unrestricted Australian drivers’ licence and willingness to travel
