Are you a Rail Project Manager with experience of delivering station and operational buildings projects?
Do you have experience in building fabrication and internal refurbishments?
Location: Basingstoke + 1 day home working per week (site visits around hampshire and wessex)
Salary: £55,000 - £70,000 + circa £5000 car allowance
My client is a civil engineering contractor in the infrastructure industry, and they are looking to add a Project Manager to their team to work on an operational buildings framework for Network Rail for the next 8 years, with projects valued between £100k-£1m. The projects will be situated around hampshire and the wessex region, and will include works on building fabrication and internal refurbishments.

This role is a unique opportunity on a framework that has another 8 years of work, with the opportunity for you to build your own team.

Key Responsibilities

  • To manage building projects from award through to completion of the works and financial settlement.
  • Help develop and grow the project management and self-delivery capability of the company
  • Support in the bidding and securing of new projects
  • Lead the development of productivity norms to win and deliver new projects
  • Demonstrate ability to deliver competently within agreed budget and timeframes
  • Manage the preparation of Health and Safety Plans, Quality Plans and Method Statements.
  • Ensure compliance with client specifications, method statements, industry standards and legislation and identify and enable the resolution of conflict.
  • Control of weekly progress against programme and supporting budget.
  • Full interface with external clients

Requirements:

  • 2+ years experience as a Project Manager
  • 5+ years’ experience within the building sector
  • Degree or equivalent in Building Studies or Construction Management
  • Membership or working towards a relevant Professional Body
  • SMSTS & PTS preferred
  • Experience working on station & commercial buildings projects, over the value of £100k
  • Holds a full driving licence
