About the Role
As Project Manager, you will lead multiple projects simultaneously from start-up through completion, ensuring quality, safety, and profitability. This role requires expert knowledge of watermain, forcemain, and sewer installation, as well as proven leadership in coordinating field staff, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of project delivery, from scheduling and procurement to cost control, client communication, and project closeout.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead project start-up and handover meetings, including scope review, scheduling, equipment and manpower planning, and estimate review.
  • Prepare and manage shop drawings, commissioning/disinfection plans, and traffic control plans (per Book 7).
  • Issue purchase orders, track material deliveries, and manage subcontractor/supplier coordination.
  • Attend and lead project progress meetings; provide regular updates on schedules, budgets, and work in progress.
  • Collaborate with the General Superintendent and on-site superintendents to ensure crews are supported and project objectives are achieved.
  • Troubleshoot site challenges, resolve technical issues, and implement profit-improvement strategies.
  • Price, manage, and process change orders in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Ensure project quality through regular site visits and proactive communication with clients.
  • Manage monthly billings and project invoicing.
  • Oversee job closeout, including as-built drawings, turnover documentation, payment quantities, and holdback recovery.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 6+ years of Project Management experience in civil construction.
  • Proficient knowledge of watermain, forcemain, and sewer installation.
  • CET designation or Construction Technology program graduate preferred.
  • Strong understanding of OPSS and local municipal construction standards.
  • Proficient with MS Office and Bluebeam.
  • Experience with HCSS platform is an asset.
  • Estimating ability considered an asset.
  • Excellent organizational, planning, and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
