Job Title: Project Manager – Commercial Construction (Structured Cabling & Low Voltage) Locations: Dallas, TX Employment Type: Direct Hire Salary: Based on experience About the Role: We’re hiring two Project Managers to support a leading structured cabling contractor on active commercial construction sites in Bethel, CT and Dallas, TX. This is a hands-on role for someone with direct experience managing structured cabling jobs in commercial buildings — coordinating crews, hitting project milestones, working closely with vendors, and ensuring top-tier quality control throughout the build. What You’ll Be Doing: Lead structured cabling and low voltage installations on commercial construction projects. Own the full project lifecycle — from kickoff to closeout — with clear milestone tracking and reporting. Read and apply blueprints, specs, and scopes of work. Coordinate with general contractors, site supers, and subcontractors to meet deadlines and maintain quality. Manage labor, materials, and job costs to ensure profitability. Handle change orders (up to $250K) and keep projects on schedule. Ensure crews have proper PPE and safety training. Conduct regular site visits to inspect work, verify progress, and perform quality control (QC) checks. Ensure all installations meet project specs, code requirements, and client expectations. Submit closeout packages including as-builts, test results, and warranties. Work closely with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment, and resolve any issues quickly. Provide technical support to field teams and ensure quality standards are met. What You Need: Previous hands-on experience managing commercial structured cabling and low voltage projects. Strong understanding of construction standards, job site coordination, and working with GCs. Ability to manage direct labor and subcontractors effectively. Proven track record of managing project milestones and performing thorough QC inspections. Comfortable using Microsoft Office for tracking costs, schedules, and reporting. Field experience that shows you can lead from the front and get the job done. Nice to Have: Experience with AV systems (Crestron, Extron, Biamp, etc.) PMP certification is a plus, but not required.
