Description Position Title: Project Manager – Commercial Kitchens Department: 1177 Reports To: Director of Contract Sales Location: Texas / Oklahoma Position Overview The Project Manager – Commercial Kitchens oversees the planning, coordination, and execution of commercial kitchen projects from initial design through final installation and closeout. This role ensures that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with client expectations, building codes, and industry standards. All employees are expected to adhere to Ace Mart business philosophy, guidelines and policies as laid out in the Ace Mart mission statement, Employee Handbook, Standard Operating Procedures Manual and Safety Program. Project Planning & Coordination Manage multiple commercial kitchen projects simultaneously from proposal to turnover. Review architectural drawings, kitchen layouts, and equipment schedules. Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets. Coordinate with architects, general contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams. Equipment & Procurement Manage lead times, deliveries, and equipment logistics. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Construction & Installation Oversight Coordinate onsite work including Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) rough-ins, vent hoods, refrigeration, and installation. Conduct site visits, resolve issues, and ensure adherence to plans. Manage scope changes, delays, and conflicts. Client & Stakeholder Communication Serve as the primary client contact. Provide regular project updates and documentation. Facilitate project meetings. Compliance & Quality Assurance Ensure work complies with health codes, building codes, ADA, and safety standards. Oversee startup, testing, and commissioning. Conduct closeout and final walkthroughs. Documentation & Administration Maintain records including change orders, Request for Information (RFI), and submittals. Track project financials. Prepare closeout packages and turnover documentation. Frequent interruptions may occur. Physical & Work Environment Requirements Pass a pre-employment physical exam and drug screening. Ability to interact and communicate clear expectations to jobsite General Contractor and/or Sub-Contractors. Ability to accurately verify field dimensions and provide clear communications if dimensions. Standing, walking, and entering and exiting a motor vehicle multiple times a day. Ability to lift lightweight materials or equipment documentation (typically under 25 lbs.). Ability to visit active construction sites when needed. Participate in trade shows, factory tours, and other training as assigned by the training department. Be able to travel to customer’s restaurants, navigate foodservice kitchens, construction sites, and remote locations within the continental U.S.A. beyond normal hours of operation. Ability to conduct onsite visits to active construction sites. Travel is required. Education and Experience 3–5+ years of project management experience. Strong understanding of MEP systems and commercial kitchen workflow. Experience with contractors, architects, and foodservice consultants.
