Project Manager – Community Infrastructure Projects  Reference number: 11085 Closing date: 11:00pm, Friday 15 May 2026 * Full-time fixed term position for 2 years  * Salary commencing at $100,577.59 per annum, plus 12% superannuation, commensurate with skills and experience. * Band 6. The Opportunity  Moonee Valley City Council is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Manager to support the delivery of community infrastructure projects within our capital works program. In this role, you will work closely with Senior Project Managers and Project Sponsors to assist in the planning, design, procurement, and delivery of projects that enhance community assets and services, including sports field lighting, sports field reconstructions, and related infrastructure. This is an excellent opportunity for an emerging project management professional to gain exposure across a diverse portfolio of infrastructure projects while contributing to meaningful outcomes for the community. Key Responsibilities * Support the delivery of capital works projects in line with Council’s Project Management Framework  * Assist with project planning, design coordination, procurement, and delivery activities  * Undertake contract administration tasks including progress tracking, variations, and reporting  * Support tender processes including documentation preparation, evaluation, and reporting * Collaborate with internal stakeholders, contractors, consultants, and the community  * Assist with site inspections and coordination of project activities  * Prepare project documentation, reports, and stakeholder updates  * Contribute to the successful delivery of Council’s annual capital works program  * Provide responsive and professional customer service to internal and external stakeholders Skills & Experience You will have a tertiary qualification in Project Management, Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field, along with experience supporting the delivery of construction or infrastructure projects. You bring sound knowledge of contract administration and procurement processes, with the ability to work effectively with contractors and consultants. Your strong communication and interpersonal skills enable you to build positive relationships with stakeholders and translate technical information clearly. You are organised and capable of managing competing priorities across multiple projects, with a proactive approach to problem-solving. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is essential, and experience within a local government or capital works environment will be highly regarded.
