About the Project
Docol Investments FZCO, a key subsidiary of Docol Group, is driving the construction of a prestigious luxury 5-star hotel and mall complex (100,000m²) in Mogadishu. Designed to align with UAE’s 5-star standards, the development will reshape the city’s hospitality and retail offerings. The site, positioned near the AMISOM Green Zone, offers a highly secure and well-organized working environment.

The Project Manager is responsible for providing the following services:

  • Point of contact for Client and other consultants/contractors for the contract, design, procurement, construction, and closeout of civic projects.
  • Develops project specific procedures and documentation and consults with Client on design and construction contracts.
  • Ensures contracts, drawings, estimates, and specifications comply with construction/project requirements.
  • Obtains, maintains, and manages data, information, communications, and approvals required by project and requirements between Owner, architects, engineers, and other project-related entities.
  • Manages project controls, cost, and performance activities and procedures, project logistics, organization, and project closeout.
  • Leads in project meetings to include documentation, administration, and tracking of relevant information and statuses.
  • Coordinates and monitors activities of contractors, engineers, architects, and related sub-consultants/contractors.
  • Ensures project team adheres to safety requirements.
  • Manages procurement services, as may be required by the Client.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience in hotel, mall construction is a must.
  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or equivalent is required.
  • A minimum of 15 years of experience as a Project engineer and worked as Construction Manager (or equivalent) for 5-star rated hotel construction is required.
  • Experience on projects larger than $30 million preferred.
  • Progressive knowledge of design-phase management, construction phase management, cost and project controls, scheduling, and documentation.
  • Knowledge of architecture/engineering and construction principles, contracts, and delivery methods (specifically, design-build)
  • A thorough understanding of contracts documents, drawings, and specifications and applied experience in the areas of project accounting, cost control, administrative, and personnel interaction in professional settings are required.
  • Registration as an Architect or Professional Engineer is preferred but not required.
  • Certified Construction Managers or Project Management Professionals are preferred but not required.

The annual base salary range for this role is $120,000 (TAX free) Plan that is subject to change at any time. Among other things, salary considerations include level of experience, geographic location, market sector, technical competencies, demonstrated ability to lead and mentor staff, emotional intelligence, and client alignment.
