About the Role: The Project Manager position plays a key role in our organization as the company’s management representative leading key project(s) from conceptual phases and pre-construction through construction and commissioning/close-out. This includes oversight and direction of subcontractors, design firms, project managers and project engineers and developing a complementary functional working relationship with the Project Superintendent to provide our clients with a project that is safely completed within budget, on schedule, in accordance with quality standards and meeting the customer’s satisfaction. Typically, this role is executing assignments that are larger, more technically complex, multiple projects, or of critical importance to the organization. The project manager conceptualizes a plan to execute the project and ensure logistics and work flow activities and objectives are clear to all team members. In addition, the project manager will seek to extend relationships to build work with new and existing clients and will work to build new project opportunities for the organization. Preferred Qualifications Demonstrated knowledge and capability to successfully execute projects in excess of $5MM or multiple concurrent projects in excess of $1MM Knowledge of risk management and risk mitigation Negotiation skills Relationship development skills Communication and organizational skills Capability to identify and resolve complex issues Effective participation skills in a team environment Ability to independently manage workload and commitments Ability to plan, prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects. Can be detail oriented and focused but developing ability to step away to evaluate the overall viewpoint Increasing knowledge and understanding industry specifics for the life sciences and advanced technology Construction knowledge with cost and schedule impact/control understanding and working knowledge Project database and procedural knowledge Proficiency with Blue Beam, Planswift, Microsoft Office Suite, MS Project or Primavera, Timberline, PROCORE and other project related software This position focuses on: longer term planning revenue building project opportunities cost control strategic procurement schedule planning and control identification of and resolutions for potential pitfalls The skills developed in this position will assist you in future assignments as a Director, Project Executive and organization leader.
