Job Details Job Category: Other Position Summary: We are seeking a highly experienced Project Manager to lead and manage a multi-site, armed security contract supporting secured federal locations throughout Washington, D.C. and Maryland. The Project Manager serves as the principal point of contact with the client and ensures contract performance, personnel compliance, and operational effectiveness. This position requires strong leadership, deep knowledge of federal security standards, and the ability to navigate complex staffing and compliance requirements. Pay: Salary ($64.11/hour) $133,348.80/year Key Responsibilities: Oversee the daily management and execution of all operational, staffing, and compliance functions across multiple federal sites. Serve as the primary liaison with client representatives, federal personnel, subcontractors, and corporate leadership. Supervise Site Managers, Supervisors, and administrative personnel ensuring full compliance with contractual requirements. Lead all contract start-up, transition, and performance phases including staffing, training, and quality assurance. Ensure all assigned personnel maintain current certifications in firearms, TASER, CPR, First Aid, and any client-specific requirements. Monitor post performance, respond to incidents, manage escalations, and implement corrective actions as needed. Coordinate and manage the delivery of equipment, uniforms, and required resources across all posts. Track and maintain compliance metrics including staffing levels, training deadlines, and certifications. Review and approve daily reports, incident logs, payroll data, and invoices. Support budgeting, workforce planning, and contract profitability goals. Required Qualifications: U.S. Citizen, with valid state-issued ID. Must meet eligibility to carry a firearm under federal and state law (no felony or domestic violence convictions). Minimum 7 years of leadership experience in armed federal security, law enforcement, military command, or contract management. Current certifications in CPR, First Aid, Firearms, and TASER (or ability to obtain immediately upon hire). High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Public Administration, or Business preferred. Prior experience managing contracts with 50+ armed officers across multiple locations. Proficient with Microsoft Office, scheduling platforms, and reporting systems. Strong communication, crisis management, and personnel leadership skills. Knowledge of D.C. and Maryland armed security regulations and federal use-of-force policies. Background Clearance Process: All candidates must successfully complete the federal background clearance process as a condition of employment. This process includes: Fingerprinting through a federal agency-approved channel. Criminal history check at the state and federal level (FBI/NCIC). Verification of employment history, residency, and education. Review of firearm possession eligibility (under the Lautenberg Amendment and applicable laws). Drug screening and pre-employment physical fitness evaluation. Ongoing eligibility for site access, including potential periodic reinvestigations or updated clearances. Candidates who do not meet federal background standards will not be eligible for assignment. Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience as a Project Manager on a federal armed security contract (e.g., DOJ, DHS, GSA). Former law enforcement supervisor or military command role. Familiarity with union environments and collective bargaining agreements (CBAs). Experience managing incident investigations, contract audits, or performance reviews. Travel & Physical Requirements: Must be able to travel between all sites in Washington, D.C. and Maryland. Must be able to participate in site inspections, post audits, and emergency response activities. Availability for on-call, after-hours, or weekend response as needed.
