Description Position Summary The Plumbing Project Manager oversees the planning, coordination, execution, and completion of residential and/or commercial plumbing projects. This role ensures that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with plumbing codes, safety standards, and company quality expectations. The Project Manager serves as the primary liaison between clients, field crews, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal leadership. --- Key Responsibilities Project Planning & Coordination Develop project scopes, timelines, budgets, and schedules. Review plans, specifications, and proposals to determine project requirements. Coordinate material procurement, equipment needs, and labor allocation. Execution & Oversight Manage day-to-day project operations, ensuring adherence to plans and quality standards. Supervise and support field technicians, foremen, and subcontractors. Conduct site visits to monitor progress, resolve issues, and ensure compliance with safety protocols. Customer & Stakeholder Communication Act as the main point of contact for clients, general contractors, inspectors, and vendors. Provide updates on project progress, changes, timelines, and expectations. Resolve customer concerns and maintain strong professional relationships. Budgeting & Financial Management Track project costs, change orders, labor hours, and material usage. Prepare and review invoices, purchase orders, and job costing reports. Ensure projects meet profitability targets. Quality Control & Compliance Ensure all work meets local plumbing codes, OSHA standards, and company quality guidelines. Conduct inspections and oversee testing of systems. Maintain accuracy of project documentation, drawings, and permits. Team Leadership Mentor and support plumbing crews to improve performance and efficiency. Participate in hiring, training, and performance evaluations. Promote a culture of safety, craftsmanship, and professionalism. --- Required Skills & Qualifications Proven experience as a Plumbing Project Manager, Superintendent, Lead Plumber, or similar role. Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, installations, codes, and construction processes. Excellent organizational, scheduling, and problem-solving abilities. Strong communication and customer service skills. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications. Proficiency in project management software, spreadsheets, and documentation tools. Valid driver’s license; plumbing license preferred (varies by state). --- Preferred Qualifications 5+ years of plumbing or construction management experience. Experience managing residential, commercial, or new-build plumbing projects. Familiarity with estimating software and job-costing systems. Leadership experience overseeing crews or subcontractors. --- Physical Requirements Ability to visit job sites, climb ladders, lift up to 50 lbs., and work in outdoor conditions when necessary. --- Work Environment Mix of office work, site visits, and client meetings. May require occasional late hours or weekend work depending on project deadlines.
