Description

Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager / Project Lead to oversee and drive the successful delivery of projects within the Greater Toronto Area, with a focus on clients in the Banking and Financial Services sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery of small to mid-sized initiatives with strong ownership and accountability.
  • Translate business needs into actionable project plans and drive execution.
  • Manage all aspects of project planning including timelines, resource allocation, and work estimates.
  • Coordinate internal teams and external vendors to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Monitor budgets, track project costs, and proactively report on variances.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for project stakeholders, including senior executives.
  • Create and present project reports, dashboards, and updates to stakeholders.
  • Identify and address project risks and issues to maintain delivery momentum.
  • Support pre-sales activities and assist with proposal development when needed.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in Information Technology, including at least 3 years of hands-on project management experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; PMP and/or Agile/Scaled Agile certification preferred.
  • Proven track record managing complex projects with successful outcomes.
  • Experience in the Financial Services sector, ideally in banking or wealth management (minimum 3 years).
  • Skilled in using project management tools and methodologies, including Agile/Scrum/Hybrid approaches.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with senior business and IT leaders.
  • Demonstrated leadership in motivating and mentoring cross-functional teams.
  • High degree of customer focus, professionalism, and results orientation.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments.
  • Excellent written communication and presentation skills.
  • Collaborative mindset with a proactive and positive attitude.
  • Solid understanding of IT delivery models, business processes, and enterprise architectures.
