ABOUT YOU:
We are looking for someone with strong project management skills, and the ability to prioritise competing demands, solve technical challenges, and deliver high-quality outcomes within project timelines.
You will also have knowledge, experience, and skills in digital preservation principles, methodologies, and practices, metadata standards, database management, and IT systems related to digital asset management.
You possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written), with the ability to engage and maintain working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Experience of collaborating with Indigenous communities to ensure alignment of practices with Indigenous Data Sovereignty and Governance principles is highly regarded.
The Aboriginal History Archive (AHA) at VU is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Project Manager – Digital Preservation who will play a key leadership role in ensuring the long-term integrity, security, maintenance, and accessibility of the AHA’s digital collections – both born digital and digitised.
This position drives the development and implementation of digital preservation strategies, workflows, and systems aligned with industry best practices and the AHA’s Indigenous Data Sovereignty principles and Digital Preservation Competency Framework.
