QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or related discipline (Master’s preferred: MBA, MPA, M. Info).
  • Strong Knowledge of Project Management methodologies. PMP or PRINCE2 certification; Agile/Scrum/Waterfall, ITIL, and Prosci/ ADKAR (change management) credentials or demonstrable experience using frameworks preferred.
  • 7-10 years of progressive experience managing and leading enterprise-level projects (ERP, SIS, HRIS, LMS, IAM, or comparable systems), preferably within the post-secondary sector.
  • Demonstrated success managing portfolios, vendor relationships, and cross-campus implementations. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to facilitate collaboration with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of FIPPA/PHIPA, NIST/CIS controls, and accessibility legislation (AODA).
  • Exceptional communication, facilitation, and problem-solving required.
  • Proactive leadership, resilience under pressure, and commitment to continuous learning and technological innovation.

Responsibilities

As a senior member of the Technology Services Centre team, the Project Manager is responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

  • Systems Project Leadership and Delivery, leading planning, execution, and delivery of major digital transformation initiatives across academic, research, and administrative portfolios.
  • Governance, Best Practices, and Continuous Improvement, establishing project governance, standards, and risk management practices, ensuring compliance with privacy, security, and accessibility requirements.
  • Managing project budgets and schedules, including vendor performance and contract deliverables.
  • Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration, facilitating cross-functional collaboration with faculty, staff, administrators, and external partners, resolving competing priorities, and ensuring successful adoption.
  • Business Process Optimization and Change Enablement, driving business process redesign and change management activities, including training and communications to large campus user groups.
  • Maintaining project dashboards, benefits-realization measures, and post-implementation reviews to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Supervising and mentoring project teams, vendors, and stakeholders in a matrix environment with a large number of contributors per initiative.
