The opportunity The Project Manager is responsible for the successful delivery of projects that require significant stakeholder management and early contractor involvement.  The role is critical to management of technically complex work, removing road blocks and keeping the delivery of the projects on track for successful delivery.  The role is required to work closely with our clients and to ensure that Downers reputation as a competent and capable tier one contractor.   What you’ll do * Work collaboratively with client representatives, anticipating and resolving issues, and ensuring effective customer service * Ensuring contract performance meets customer requirements in terms of quality and timeframes * Implement control framework and monitoring process, including project budgets, and report regularly to project budgets and report regularly to project stakeholders * Verify and ensure accuracy of monthly claims, forecasts, costs to complete etc * Participate in the production of project methodologies, budgets and programmes for construction contracts * Manage the allocation of people, plant, technology and resources to achieve outcomes   What we offer * Competitive remuneration with a significant ASX-listed company * Structured career paths with the opportunity to work in different areas of the Utilities business, supported by a robust Commercial Operating Model * A suite of health and wellness benefits and initiatives, including EAP Beyond Blue * Retail discounts with major retailers, Dell, Good Guys, Samsung, Specsavers & ANZ * We are a Tier 1 ASX listed company with in-house capabilities that far exceed traditional contractor environments   What we’re looking for * Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or a related discipline * Proven experience as a Project Manager preferably within the water industry or civil construction  * Experience managing multiple work sites, subcontractors, and suppliers  * Demonstrated experience with monthly claims, forecasting, and financial reporting  * Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills * Three Waters exposure advantageous  * Commitment to safety leadership and Zero Harm principles  * Strong computer literacy and project reporting capability   About Energy & Utilities Downer's Energy & Utilities business unit is an integrated trans-Tasman team, providing services and solutions that connect communities to essential networks and infrastructure.
