DTU Chemical Engineering has a vacancy for a Project Manager position with the BioCon Center. BioCon has a mission driven to support innovative research and development on a wide range of bioenergy activities. This project manager will have the main responsibility for the management of the multinational research projects- assisting the Head of Center and senior research staff at BioCon. Primary areas of responsibility As Project Manager you will be responsible for: * Tracking research task progress and status, including timelines and milestones * Follow biotechnology research workflows related to biofuels and added-value compounds production * Structure experimental data and information, including budgets and forecasts * Coordinate effective communication among research teams, partners, and stakeholders * Prepare scientific reports for the foundations * Foster knowledge sharing, collaboration and communication of best practices * Support biotech grant applications, dissemination activities, and project meetings Our expectations of you * A PhD in Chemical Engineering or relevant areas * Experience with project management (national or international projects), with particular emphasis on Danish-Africa projects (DFC etc.) * Ability to support data collection, data management, and research documentation * Experience in experimental design and laboratory techniques (e.g. mixed/pure cell culture, analytical techniques including gas and high pressure liquid chromatography, bioprocessing and fermentation) * Expert in the Microsoft Office package * Strong skills in scientific writing and communication (published scientific papers and participation in conferences) * Proactive and structured with strong planning and organising skills * Strong collaboration and communication skills based on solid understanding of various stakeholder interests * Energetic, enthusiastic, positive attitude and a high drive What we offer in return We offer an interesting and challenging job in an international atmosphere with the focus on research, teaching, innovation and scientific advice for the benefit of the surrounding community.
