JOB OVERVIEW

Dunelm Geotechnical & Environmental is looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead site investigation contracts from our Glasgow office.
We’re seeking someone with a strong background in ground investigation – ideally with proven site investigation project management experience – who’s ready to take ownership of varied, rewarding, and technically challenging work with one of the UK’s leading contractors.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Coordination, management and delivery of site investigation projects from initiation through to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets
  • Management of staff assigned to projects and management of all technical, commercial and HSEQ components
  • Site walkovers and attendance at pre start meetings
  • Preparation of risk assessments, method statements and construction phase plans
  • Preparation of site equipment lists and coordination of project logistics
  • Quality checks of site data and timely issue of information to clients
  • Cost control of projects, through regular monitoring of expenditure, to maximise profitability
  • Contribution of expertise and input in to the planning stage of new projects
  • Coordination, preparation and delivery of factual reports in accordance with project milestone dates
  • Preparation and submission of applications for payment and follow up of payment
  • Maintaining an effective line of communication with clients in line with their individual expectations and requirements
  • Encouraging health and safety awareness by example and instruction
  • Undertaking site audits
  • Foster a collaborative team environment by providing guidance, support and mentorship to team members and subordinates

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has proven experience in project management roles with a track record of successful project delivery
  • Has relevant experience within the ground investigation industry
  • Is a highly motivated individual
  • Possesses excellent time management and communication skills
  • Is passionate about delivery of high quality output and service to clients
  • Has strong commercial awareness
  • Is health and safety conscious

This role is mainly office based with the occasional requirement for site attendance, mainly for pre start walkovers, audits, mentoring and client meetings. Hybrid working is available with this role.
