REQUIREMENTS

  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Engineering;
  • relevant 5 to 10 years experience in construction project management;
  • bilingual French-English both spoken and written (required);
  • master of MS Office and MS Project software.
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance

Responsibilities
  • Read the technical and administrative specifications of the project to be executed;
  • acquire the necessary technical and administrative information from the persons involved during the submission;
  • obtain blueprints and specifications for construction and compare them to bid plans;
  • report changes to professionals and claim costs;
  • obtain licenses and permits as needed for the execution of the work;
  • draft contracts and agreements, negotiate terms and award them to subcontractors;
  • develop the prevention program requested for CNESST and monitor it on site;
  • establish the schedule (dates, main stages of construction, constraints, methodology) and / or the critical path of the project and monitor it weekly;
  • inform the superintendent of the project and discuss with him and the director of the proposed methods;
  • place orders for critical materials, negotiate prices and prepare contract documents, in collaboration with the construction manager, for subcontractors;
  • coordinate and participate in various meetings;
  • establish and maintain a professional and continuous positive rapport with the client, etc.;
  • travel is to be expected;
