Description HOURS: Eight hour shift M-F within 6:00 am to 6:00 pm MST operating hours. JOB PURPOSE: The role of the Project Manager is to support and guide clients through the implementation of all Edupoint products, ensure that Edupoint meets all contract commitments, and delivers successfully implemented school districts. The Project Manager will also coordinate services for clients post implementation, if required. JOB SUMMARY: Effectively manage upsell projects and new customer implementations from the post-sale phase through go live and coordinate the delivery of services for clients after they are live on Synergy. Ensure that Edupoint’s implementation methodology is adhered to in all implementation. JOB DUTIES: Serve as an expert in all aspects of Edupoint’s System Implementation Methodology For all assigned new client projects, create an appropriate project plan Maintain and ensure adherence to the project plans and manage each implementation task to ensure completion Develop a system installation and configuration plan, and work closely with the Technical Services group to ensure the scheduling and completion of the installation plan Develop an application and security setup plan for new customers, and work closely with the Product Specialist Supervisor to ensure the resourcing, scheduling and completion of the application and security setup plan Develop a training plan for new customers and ensure the resourcing, scheduling and completion of the training plan Develop a conversion plan for new customers, and work closely with the Director of Data Services to ensure the resourcing, scheduling and completion of the conversion plan Develop a plan for the delivery of 3rd party interfaces and ensure the resourcing, scheduling and completion of that plan Track all software customizations required by new customers, facilitate communications with the development staff and ensure delivery of all customizations Work closely with the Instructional Applications Project Manager to develop a Grade Book implementation plan for new customers and ensure the resourcing, scheduling and completion of the plan Work closely with each Product Unit to develop plans and schedule the required tasks for the implementation of the optional modules purchased. Ensure the completion of each plan Work closely with the SRC team to develop a plan that includes application setup and data conversion considerations for state reporting and training on submissions For first in state clients, the development of state reporting functionality must be included in the plan For all upsells, work with the appropriate project team to schedule and deliver a kickoff meeting and resource and schedule project events Track and monitor each project to completion Serve as the point of escalation for upsell project issues Set and manage customer expectations appropriately and ensure customer satisfaction Identify and proactively address issues and potential risks to assigned projects Escalate stalled issues Prioritize and resolve situations that arise with excellent customer service Serve as the customer’s point-of-contact within Edupoint and respond to all other needs of the customer as they arise Serve as the customer’s advocate to our organization Represent the customer’s interests in internal meetings regarding product direction, company priorities, services offered, etc. Report project status to supervisor on a regular basis Work collaboratively with other project managers, team leads, and team members to improve best practices within each discipline and project management as a whole Manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously Be responsive to internal (staff) and external (customer) requests Other job duties as assigned JOB REQUIREMENTS-KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES: *Knowledge: K-12 education knowledge preferred Knowledge of student information systems a plus *Skills: Journeyman level skills in the discipline of project management within the domain of information technology projects Attention to detail required *Abilities: Excellent verbal/written communication required Ability to effectively manage multiple projects/tasks Ability to travel extensively; 5% of working hours may be spent traveling EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: B. The position requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, telephone, copier and other office equipment as necessary. Hearing must be in the normal range for telephone and video conferencing contacts. Visual acuity must be sufficient to allow working extended hours on computer screens. Ability to work in an environment with moderate noise and which can be fast paced and project intensive. Travel and some extended overnight trips in the performance of duties will be required.
