About the Role
The Project Manager is a key and active participant of the Office of the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Emergency Communication Services departments at TZV. This role is critical to supporting the planning, delivery, and implementation of the ambulance operational plan and related business case.
The Project Manager will lead project management activities across multiple workstreams, ensuring delivery in line with the agreed scope, timelines, and government commitments. Working within TZV’s Project Management Framework, the role will coordinate project activities, support communication and engagement initiatives, and contribute to the development of high-quality briefings, reports, papers and submissions. A key focus of the role is supporting operational design and improvements to ensure the proposed models, processes, and systems are fit for purpose and meet the needs of the organisation and its partners.

Day to day responsibilities include:

  • Coordinate internal and external resources, working collaboratively across TZV and with Ambulance Victoria to deliver project activities and achieve defined objectives and milestones
  • Prepare and contribute to high-quality briefings, reports, papers, and submissions for executives, governance bodies and external stakeholders
  • Collaborate closely with the Senior Manager, Operations (Ambulance) and lead the Program Officer, to support stakeholder engagement, governance and secretariate functions, and delivery of key project outcomes
  • Monitor, evaluate and report on project progress against scope, time, cost, quality, risk and benefit parameters, and implement corrective actions
  • Contribute to the preparation and monitoring of project financials, including financial estimates, tracking actuals, and supporting procurement and contract processes

About You

The successful candidate will have completed a Tertiary qualification in Project Management and/or Project Management Qualification (PRINCE2, PMBOK, or equivalent and have demonstrated experience in project management in medium to large technology projects and will possess the following skills & attributes:

  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills with a focus on exceeding customer expectations
  • Detail-oriented, process minded and copes well managing high volumes of work
  • Demonstrated ability to oversee, direct and manage a multi-disciplinary project team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Experience in a health setting, particulary call taking and dispach setting is desirable
