This is an exciting opportunity to join our thriving Project Management team, based at our state-of-the-art Head Office in Leicester, Grove Park. As the Project Manager, you will deliver assigned projects by project managing a defined aspect of the project scope. On assigned scope areas, the Project Manager will utilise internal and third party resources, material and services to deliver that scope within cost budget, agreed timescales and to the required quality.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS THAT SET YOU APART:

  • Degree in Project Management or equivalent.
  • PMP of Prince2 Certification

Responsibilities

IN THIS ROLE, YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE:

  • Deliver assigned scope in accordance with cost budget, timescales and quality
  • Work with Emerson Engineering functions, ensuring adequate staffing to the assigned scope to meet project criteria
  • Ensure accurate forecasting of project sales, costs & gross margin
  • Engage with Engineering and Service functions to ensure the forecast engineering resources required for the assigned scope are well communicated and planned.
  • Comply with the Emerson Ethical and trade compliance policies
  • Follow Emerson Quality processes and procedures
  • Apply PMO project execution methodology to all projects
  • Commitment to self-development
  • Proactive management of change and risk.
  • Promote the use of Emerson corporate policies within the project environment.
  • Support the Sales team with new proposals, specifically focusing on Project Management hours required to execute the project and Risk.

FOR THIS ROLE, YOU WILL NEED:

  • Relevant project management/ project administration experience.
  • Basic financial knowledge
  • Exposure to project planning
  • Willingness to work towards PMP certification (funded by us)
  • To be flexible to work at our Leicester Head Office 4 days a week, with 1 days work from home
