Description This position has been posted for multiple office locations. Only hiring one Project Manager for one office location. Locations include Anchorage, AK, and Sioux Falls, SD. The Project Manager applies technical expertise and a strong understanding of engineering principles to ensure the successful execution and supervision of engineering projects. This role requires excellent relationship-building and time management skills to collaborate across multiple engineering disciplines in various time zones and coordinate with subconsultants to meet client needs and expectations. Responsibilities: Develops a broad understanding of the technical requirements across all disciplines involved in the project to ensure cohesive and coordinated deliverable. Ensures that project deliverables consistently meet or exceed client expectations and EEI’s standards for quality. Serves as the project team leader and primary decision maker, providing clear guidance on project scope and vision for the final deliverables. Assigns tasks and monitors the performance of technical team members across disciplines. Participates in the preparation of technical fee proposals, subcontractor agreements, scopes of work, and proposal execution plans. Proactively manages client relationships, including regular communication, contract administration, and conflict resolution. Prepare and leads client meetings and presentations. Develops and manages project budgets based on contract terms, scope of work, and resource requirements. Accurately forecasts resource needs to meet project objectives and coordinates effectively. Tracks and measures project performance, providing regular updates on scope, schedule, and budget status. Identifies and manages project risks, escalating areas of concern to a principal as needed. Creates and maintains comprehensive project documentation. Ensures timely subcontractor invoicing and reviews/approves client invoices in accordance with the agreed-upon schedule. Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited program. Minimum of five years of project management experience, preferably managing engineering or military construction projects. Ability to obtain U.S. military base access through a comprehensive background check. Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record. Willingness and ability to travel independently to project sites, both domestic and international. Preferred Project Management Professional (PMP) certification. Licensed Professional Engineer (PE). API 570 and API 653 certifications. Other Skills/Abilities Strong relationship-building skills with clients and team members. Team-oriented, willing to assist colleagues as needed. Effective time management skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment. Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills. Ability to methodically perform and document engineering calculations. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project). Working knowledge and application of engineering design software (AutoCAD, Revit, etc.). Physical Requirements Abilities Primarily work in an office environment, with occasional outdoor work in various conditions. See, hear and communicate with others in varying environments using different methods. Travel independently, both domestically and internationally, for various durations. Lift or move up to 50 lbs; occasional lifting up to 100 lbs over short distances may be required. Sit or stand for sustained periods. Ascend and descend ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles, and similar structures. Walk, stand, and crouch on uneven surfaces.
