The City of O’Fallon is seeking a detail-oriented, proactive Project Manager to join our Engineering team. In this essential role, you will be responsible for the oversight and management of capital infrastructure projects from concept to completion-ensuring quality, efficiency, and compliance at every phase.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Knowledge and level of competency commonly associated with the completion of a baccalaureate degree in a course of study related to the occupational field.
  • Experience sufficient to thoroughly understand the work of subordinate positions to be able to answer questions and resolve problems, usually associated with one to three years of related experience or service.
  • Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid driver’s license issued by the State of Missouri for the type of vehicle or equipment operated.
Responsibilities
  • Manage design consultants, engineering, and surveying firms for public infrastructure projects.
  • Oversee construction contractors to ensure timely and within-budget project delivery.
  • Prepare and review plans, estimates, and specifications for capital construction projects.
  • Assist in annual budget planning and manage project-specific budgets.
  • Prepare and submit Council Agenda items, purchase orders, bid documents, and advertisements.
  • Coordinate utility relocations, easement acquisitions, and right-of-way documentation.
  • Review construction submittals, certified payrolls, shop drawings, and test reports.
  • Collaborate with residents, elected officials, and public groups throughout the design and construction process.
  • Seek and administer external funding; attend meetings with funding agencies.
  • Perform in-house design, traffic studies, and project presentations.
