Your Opportunity at SECURE:
As our Project Manager, Engineering & Construction, you will oversee a variety of Management of Change (MOC) projects initiated by our Operations team. These projects will involve, but are not limited to, tanks, instrumentation, registered vessels, process piping, process optimization, pipelines, pumps, and blanket gas systems.
Utilizing project management best practices, you will be responsible for:
- Defining project scope, budget, and schedule
- Identifying project risks and opportunities
- Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful project execution
This role requires a highly organized and adaptable individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can manage multiple projects simultaneously, and has prior experience leading Engineering & Construction projects within the Oil & Gas industry.

The Technical Services team at SECURE delivers expert solutions to improve operations, boost performance, and drive innovation. Specializing in safe, efficient infrastructure projects and managing well health, geology, and project execution, the team is committed to quality, sustainability, and operational excellence while fostering a culture of safety, knowledge sharing, and reliable results.
Work Environment:
This full-time, permanent position is based in Calgary, Alberta, and requires 40 hours per week in an in-office setting.
A Day in The Life:
The responsibilities of this role, include, but are not limited to:
Project Management & Execution
- Partner with Operations to identify and execute value-added MOC projects within a specified geographical area.
- Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables, collaborating with Operations, Contractors, and Internal Stakeholders.
- Develop and manage budgets, schedules, and forecasts to ensure projects stay on track.
- Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with Occupational Health & Safety regulations.
- Proactively identify and mitigate risks, adjusting plans as needed to maintain project performance.
- Monitoring & Stakeholder Communication
- Track milestones, deliverables, and budget, taking corrective actions as necessary.
- Communicate opportunities and risks to stakeholders, ensuring alignment.
- Project Handover & Training
- Oversee project handover from construction to Operations, ensuring full training and understanding of deliverables.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
- ~10% field time, with travel across AB, BC, SK, and North Dakota.
Skills, Experience & Qualifications:
The individual in this role will have:
Experience: 2–5 years managing engineering projects in the Oil & Gas industry, with a track record of increasing stakeholder engagement complexity.
- Education & Certification: P. Eng., CET, EIT, or equivalent required; PMP certification is an asset.
- Project Management: Experience handling sustaining projects up to $500K, applying best practices, and collaborating with Operations to drive success.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in project management software (MS Project, Excel, etc.).
- Ability to read engineered drawings, technical specs, and contracts.
- Strong writing skills for clear and concise project documentation.
- Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, collaboration, and communication across varied stakeholders.
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with SECURE’s services and operations.
