We need a Project Manager for Enhancement Landscaping to service the extended Metro Atlanta Area from our Alpharetta, GA, North Branch. Crabapple is a privately owned company that has been operating successfully for 30+ years. We remain one of Atlanta’s top five locally owned landscape firms. As a Project Manager (PM) for Crabapple LandscapExperts, you will manage the assigned landscape construction project(s) and the field staff and equipment assigned to those jobs. Duties: Pre-Plan work in conjunction with the Customer Relations Manager (CRM). Attend and participate in the internal Enhancement Meetings. Interpret proposals, designs, and specifications to install landscapes and direct crews effectively. Provide hands-on leadership and training. Provide material samples and/or manage the build of mockups for client approvals. Assign your crews to projects in alignment with their skills and request equipment as necessary to meet project goals. Co-produce the project schedule with the VP of Enhancements for projects longer than 2 weeks. Ensure the effective capture of change order opportunities to support revenue and minimize profit erosion. Inform the VP and CRM of any change orders for an ongoing project if warranted. Hold yourself and your team accountable for quality, workmanship, efficiency, and adherence to the design plans. Contract with and set goals for subcontractors based on schedules and budgets. Provide proposal documents to the Foreman and set goals to achieve production rates and schedule. Create project schedules for multi-day projects. Procure materials for projects to meet the project schedule. Meet with the VP of Enhancements weekly to provide updates on your assigned projects. Complete required paperwork and time entry reviews daily. Review purchases for accuracy, tie out receipts with purchases, and approve material invoices for payment. Communicate internally and externally to collaborate with project partners, clients, and colleagues. Participate in recruitment activities and job skill training, and educate fellow team members. Enforce and work following all local health and safety laws and regulations at the shop/yard and on job sites. Requirements Minimum of 2 years as an Operations or Project manager, or 5 years as a Foreman in landscape construction. Expert knowledge of softscape and hardscape installation Competently use Adobe and Microsoft products such as Excel, Word, Access, and Outlook. Possess a valid driver’s license. Carry and use a smart phone or data-enabled device for communication and reporting. Work Conditions: Travel and work at various locations, including residential and commercial landscape construction sites. Flexible working hours, including occasional weekend work. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Work safely near heavy equipment and other vehicles regularly.
