Members of NHBP or other federally-recognized tribes are encouraged to apply.   Position Summary: The Project Manager – Environmental Due Diligence supports the Director by taking ownership of complex due diligence projects, providing technical quality control, and serving as a senior reference point for the EDD team. This role helps balance departmental workload, strengthen technical output, and improve proposal development, allowing the Director to focus on broader leadership responsibilities.   Responsibilities: * Manage and lead Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments, Baseline Environmental Assessments, Documentation of Due Care Compliance Reports, and Response Activity Plans. * Oversee project timelines, budgets, and deliverables to ensure high-quality outcomes. * Conduct and/or review environmental data evaluations, historical research, and sampling plans. * Perform QA/QC reviews for EDD reports prepared by staff technicians. * Serve as a technical resource for staff technicians and project managers. * Provide guidance, training, and coaching to junior and mid-level staff on technical tasks. * Train new technical staff on all aspects of conducting EDD reports * Collaborate directly with the Director to manage workflow, staffing needs, and project distribution. * Participate in client calls and technical discussions as needed to discuss/review conclusions and next steps, as applicable. * Prepare scopes, estimates, and proposals for EDD projects.   Minimum Qualifications: * Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Engineering, or related field. * Minimum 5 years of professional environmental consulting experience. * Minimum 3 years’ experience specifically writing EDD reports * Experience with Phase I & Phase II ESAs and ASTM standards. *     Working knowledge of Part 201 of the Michigan Natural Resources and Environmental Protection Act (NREPA) * Strong technical writing, communication, and organizational skills. * Certified asbestos building inspector and/or OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification a plus Growth & Opportunity: This role is designed as a senior technical position with potential to progress into leadership or management responsibilities based on performance and organizational needs.
