Join our dedicated team where we provide project development, construction, commissioning and handover of major projects to Network Assets and provide engineering services to Networks.

The team specialises in;

  • project execution post receipt of Capital Approval through to asset handover to Networks.
  • all aspects of the major projects/programmes they are tasked to deliver including energisation dates, resourcing, materials, quality, safety, commercial management and realisation of the business cases.
  • providing assurance that contractors deliver on their contractual commitments and works in close partnership with Networks in the delivery of these major Projects.
  • ensuring that there is a consistent and repeatable approach to major projects to ensure the best outcome for ESB.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Manage a team of supervisors and project Engineers to deliver a portfolio of major projects on behalf of ESB Networks, particularly in the HV underground cable and substation disciplines
  • Provide regular updates and recommended actions to the Network Project Delivery Manager
  • Management of the overall project deliverables for all stakeholders, coordinating inputs with the relevant internal and external stakeholders
  • Lead the delivery of the projects with a multi-disciplinary team utilising ESB’s Project Management Methodology
  • Maintain a relationship with Delivery Partners and manage Contractor performance
  • Owning of key project deliverables during the project development and construction phases, in particular business case success measures including time (energization date), cost, scope & quality
  • Transition the completed asset to the asset owner.
