THIS ROLE WILL BE ON SITE X4/WEEK IN YORK AND X1/WEEK REMOTE. FOR THE RIGHT PERSON, THERE CAN BE SOME FLEXIBILITY.

The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the delivery of a range of utility-scale photovoltaic solar and BESS projects in the UK, throughout the development, construction, commissioning, and handover to O&M. They will be required to assist in defining the EPC scopes of work for projects nearing construction, to plan and track progress on active construction projects and to provide regular updates to the Clients and Senior Management.
The Project Manager will work closely with the wider site team to ensure that the projects are delivered on budget and on time. The role requires the ability to manage multiple projects, and to travel regularly to inspect major construction milestones, progress, and budget. Working with internal Health and Safety Team to ensure sites are compliant.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

  • Provide a positive and engaging work environment.
  • Ensuring that all the construction activities adhere to CDM and all relevant Health and Safety regulations.
  • Ensures that project is constructed to high quality standard and that the team are resourced correctly to complete on time and budget.
  • Develops relationships with clients, sub-contractors and utilities and ensure adherence to and compliance with contract terms and delivery of contractual deliverables.
  • Reporting projects progress to Senior Management within the company
  • Support the QS in the reporting of CVR and P&L to accounts team.
  • Assist with the development and improvement of internal operating policies, standards and procedure.
  • Supports the responses to requests for proposals and support the Tendering and Procurement process to successfully negotiate new projects.
  • Implement and Review Safety Management Systems, Quality Management Systems and Environment Management Systems.
  • Attend site (Yeovil) on a regular basis (x4/week)
