Job Description The Role The Project Manager (PM) will lead an exciting 18-month transformation project to redevelop and strengthen our Exchange and Market Data business. The PM will work with a broad stakeholder group of internal Fastmarkets teams and third-party vendors to deliver the target state and business benefits. This role requires a combination of strong project management, software and infrastructure knowledge, vendor management and commercial experience along with the ability to navigate the complexities of a dynamic environment. The project workstreams include: Commercial: the implementation of the Go to Market strategy aligned to the roadmap of delivering client benefit based on cross workstream deliverables. Technology: develop the Digital Platform and standalone Exchange product to serve a range of client needs. The scope involves front to back enhancements across product UI, middleware services and complex infrastructure changes. Implementation will be delivered with an agile approach ensuring regular releases of value-add change to dovetail with the Commercial objectives. Application Support: support the overall delivery by ensuring an increasing level of excellence in system availability, speed of issue resolution and customer service. Being a strong team player is also important as well as someone who is happy to work flexibly. Fundamentals Knowledge and experience working with Exchanges such as LME, CME, SHFE, Dalian and Matba. Knowledge and experience working with Market Data such as FX rates, ECB rates, precious metals, OTC and USDA. Ability to demonstrate extensive experience across a wide range of projects as a Project Manager delivering client facing digital products with technology and commercial stakeholders. Experience of managing projects working with third parties including service providers and ideally Exchanges. General skills Mindset of collaboration and teamwork for delivery as part of remote teams and able to build relationships with a broad range of stakeholders at all levels of the organisation. Ability to operate within different environments and work with varied processes and stakeholders. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to produce high-quality documentation appropriate for all stakeholders including SLT. Able to regularly and clearly communicate status, risks and issues as input to Programme and Board reporting and engage in open and honest conversations on delivery challenges with members of the Senior Leadership Team, peers and junior colleagues. Experience of running senior stakeholder and vendor meetings e.g., scoping/discovery workshops, steering committee meetings and workshops to facilitate decision making. Experience of implementing and managing change control to ensure delivery within the agreed time, cost and quality. Strong leadership qualities along with being respectful, inclusive, approachable, collaborative, engaging and professional. Ability to work independently and to motivate teams and drive outcomes. Ensure nothing falls through the cracks in terms of deliverables by internal and external parties and take ownership where tasks are ambiguous. Technology Experience of the end-to-end software development lifecycle and able to demonstrate an understanding of the fundamentals of Azure-based cloud infrastructure, networking and Exchange connectivity. Considers information security and compliance requirements and rigorously tracks their implementation. Experience of working in a hybrid Waterfall and Agile delivery environment. Practical experience of using tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira, Confluence, Miro and Lucid Charts.
