About the Role This role is responsible for managing all aspects of asbestos, lead, mold, and other industrial hygiene projects. You will engage with potential and existing clients, prepare proposals, manage project budgets, and generate final reports and remediation specifications. Additional responsibilities include performing on-site surveys, inspections, and assessments, overseeing abatement activities, and monitoring and auditing safety procedures to ensure compliance with applicable industrial hygiene and environmental regulations. Responsibilities Operational Attend job walks, pre-construction job walks, and meetings with potential and existing clients. Prepare project proposals and budgets. Review project scope and select tasks and deliverables. Review and execute project contracts, with assistance from the Director. Field calls from potential and existing clients, providing knowledgeable and accurate responses. Review project drawings, plans, and specifications. Follow procedures for opening new projects, including completing the Project Intake Form, establishing schedules, and assigning staff. Perform field investigations, monitor project budgets, and oversee field personnel activity and quality. Determine and monitor project scope, turnaround time, client interaction, timing, and rates. Review staff time entries on projects to ensure correct rates and service codes are used. Check turnaround times for laboratory analyses and verify outside laboratory charges in the Work in Progress (WIP). Select, rent, or borrow necessary equipment for projects. Verify charges on WIP are accurate. Prepare and review project reports. Meet targets specified in the Incentive Compensation Plan. Follow procedures for invoicing projects, including progress invoicing and final closeout. Review Work in Progress on projects weekly. Assist Accounting with collections or invoicing issues as needed. Use Clearview to enter time, track expenses, and update milestones. Assist with recruitment of new staff. Perform responsibilities of the Client Resources Manager. Work with Supervisor to establish personal operational goals. Save all project-related paperwork into electronic project files. Verify equipment calibration and maintain records. Business Development Make and log customer service and business development calls. Attend association and targeted meetings. Track meeting attendance and progress calls, assigning meetings and/or presentations to personal calendar. Arrange and deliver presentation opportunities. Refer or engage the Business Development team in local opportunities. Assist in preparation of marketing resources, including project summaries. Technical Assist the Director in identifying and researching new services specific to local markets. Maintain required technical certifications. Attend required technical training (internal, FACS University, and external). Assist in the development of staff. Participate in Quality Assurance / Quality Control audits. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Hygiene, Health and Safety, Biological or Physical Science, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum 5 years of strong technical and industry knowledge, including experience successfully managing small- to mid-scale projects in relevant service line areas. Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance. Current required state licensure for work performed. Must pass annual medical exams and respirator fit tests. Current certifications for the type of work being conducted. Effective, professional, and clear communication skills, both written and oral. Flexibility in work schedule and willingness to travel to different project locations as needed. Ability to use and learn computer programs, including Microsoft Word and Excel. Physical & Work Requirements: Physical ability to stoop, kneel, climb, crawl, walk, and stand for extended periods in varied work environments to perform sampling activities. Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50 lbs. Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer for documentation and reporting. Must be able to pass a background check, annual physicals, and OSHA-required respirator fit tests.
