REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager in steelwork or structural steel construction projects in the UK.
  • Strong knowledge of structural steel fabrication and erection processes.
  • Familiarity with UK construction regulations and health & safety legislation.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Excellent project planning and time management skills.
  • Strong leadership and communication abilities.
  • Proficient in MS Project or other project management software.
  • CSCS card (Manager level), SMSTS, and a full UK driving licence.
  • Degree or HNC/HND in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline (preferred).
    Job Type: Full-time
    Pay: £60,000.00-£80,000.00 per year

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage the full project lifecycle of steelwork construction projects, from tender through to completion and handover.
  • Liaise with clients, main contractors, engineers, architects, and internal teams to ensure alignment on project objectives.
  • Prepare project programmes, risk assessments, and method statements.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant UK building regulations, health & safety standards (CDM 2015), and company procedures.
  • Coordinate and manage site teams, including subcontractors and site supervisors.
  • Monitor project budgets, track progress, and report on key milestones and financial performance.
  • Attend site meetings, resolve technical and logistical issues, and ensure timely communication with all stakeholders.
  • Oversee quality control, ensuring steel fabrication and erection meet specifications and standards.
  • Lead the handover process and ensure proper documentation and close-out procedures are completed.
