In 1975, a group of passionate parents fought to open doors for their children. Gateway Association emerged as the “Gateway to a better life” they envisioned for people with disabilities and their families. Gateway is a Family Resource Centre (FRC), an Employment Resource Centre (ERC), Learning Resource Centre (LRC) and Digital Inclusion Hub that provides education, family support, mentorship and inclusive employment.
Gateway facilitates big change via small changes and works to ignite diversity advocacy in workplaces and the community to advance inclusion culture.

GATEWAY VALUE PROPOSITION (COMPENSATION & BENEFITS)

  • Salary Range of $78,000 to $80,000. Starting salary will be based on experience, and there will be inflationary rates each year of employment
  • Benefits – 50/50 Employee/Employer Paid Premiums
  • 15 vacation days, 9 Personal days, 20+ paid holidays and a flexible family-friendly schedule annually
  • Work conditions include: travel across the Prairie and Northwest Territories region on occasion, and frequent travel within Alberta, the role will require evenings and weekend work on occasion.

Performance Management and Quality Assurance

  • Oversee the planning, implementation, and evaluation of programs, through leading the development of outcomes measurement, impact practice strategies, and models for programs.
  • Work with the management team to ensure evaluation and program information is consistent with funder reporting requirements.
  • Develop goals and strategies for your direct reports for the execution of their job descriptions and professional growth
Responsibilities

DIRECT DUTIES

Project Management

  • Lead the development and management of the Grassroots Accelerator Project.
  • Continually plan, assess, and evaluate initiatives against the organization’s business plan, the identified needs of the sector, and funder reporting requirements.
  • Ensure effective coordination between management, project partners, stakeholders, and grassroots organizations.

Performance Management and Quality Assurance

  • Oversee the planning, implementation, and evaluation of programs, through leading the development of outcomes measurement, impact practice strategies, and models for programs.
  • Work with the management team to ensure evaluation and program information is consistent with funder reporting requirements.
  • Develop goals and strategies for your direct reports for the execution of their job descriptions and professional growth.

Capacity Building and Training

  • Support ongoing training for grassroots organizations, ensuring understanding and application of equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI) and Gender-Based Analysis Plus (GBA Plus) principles.
  • Coordinate capacity-building efforts for grassroots leaders.
  • Organize and facilitate training sessions and workshops to enhance collaboration and resource sharing.

Administrative Support

  • Ensure accurate preparation and submission of reports.
  • Oversee budget management and ensure timely processing of financial requests.
  • Maintain program records and ensure compliance with organizational and funder policies.

Role Requirements

  • Have access to a vehicle and hold a class 5 driver’s licence
  • Be willing and able to travel often for work
  • Available to work evenings and weekends on occasion
