We are currently seeking a Project Manager in our Testing and Inspection group, to join our Geotechnical Division to work out of our Kitchener, Burlington, Toronto or Mississauga office.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a variety of geotechnical construction projects from initiation through to completion across residential, industrial, commercial, and municipal sectors.
  • Oversee daily operations of construction sites including scheduling, budgeting, and subcontractor coordination.
  • Review project specifications, drawings, and contracts to ensure accurate execution.
  • Monitor project performance to ensure quality, schedule, and cost objectives are met.
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, municipalities, and regulatory agencies.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to geotechnical field staff and junior project managers.
  • Proactively identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Coordinate field inspections and quality assurance processes, including material testing, health & safety compliance, and site reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Prepare project documentation including progress reports, change orders, and close-out documentation.
  • Other duties, as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Degree or Diploma in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering/Engineering Technology, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in construction project management or site supervision.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction practices, contract administration, and health & safety regulations (OHSA).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong technical writing and reporting ability.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite; familiarity with project management software (e.g., MS Project or Primavera) and construction design software (e.g., AutoCAD) is an asset.
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Successful Criminal Records Check completed within 6 months of the start date.
  • Standard First Aid & CPR training considered an asset.
