Description The Project Manager is responsible for the successful requirement gathering, planning, and delivery of assigned organizational projects. This role ensures that project objectives are met on time, within scope, and maintain alignment with organizational strategy and quality standards. Operating through the Center of Excellence (COE), this thought partner supports cross-functional project teams to optimize organizational collaboration and ensure projects are completed within the expectations. Success will be measured by relationship management, dependability, reliability, flexibility, and the ability to deliver high-quality outcomes. This full-time position reports to the Vice President, Project Operations, is salaried, exempt, and works from the Kansas City, MO office. After a successful training period, this role has the flexibility to work remotely 1-2 days per week. Requirements Key Responsibilities Project Planning & Execution: Oversee all phases of project delivery—planning, execution, monitoring, and closure. Develop project plans, manage risks, advise on solutions, and ensure resources are used effectively. Requirement Gathering & Validation: Work with subject matter experts to understand and document business needs, challenges, and technical progress. Clearly communicate risks, issues, and dependencies. Collaborate with internal teams to confirm deliverables meet requirements and are tested before deployment. Project Systems and Tools Management: Manage the organization’s project management platform, driving system configuration, user engagement, and process optimization. Create dashboards, reports, and documentation to support decision-making. Coordination: Support project teams by ensuring clarity of roles, assigning tasks, setting priorities, and facilitating communication. Serve as a liaison between project teams, stakeholders, and the Center of Excellence (COE), promoting consistent, transparent engagement and providing regular updates on progress and obstacles to successful project operations. Change Management: Collaborate with Change Management specialists to support adoption strategies. Advise on project and adaptation plans, support stakeholder engagement and ensure alignment with organizational standards and best practices. Requirements Education & Experience: A bachelor’s degree or equivalent and at least 4 years of related experience, with proven success managing multiple projects simultaneously. Prefer (or willingness to pursue) certification in business analysis, project management, and/or change management certification (e.g., Prosci, CCMP). Technical Aptitude: Comfortable with technology, possess the aptitude to learn quickly and navigate between multiple applications easily. Must be familiar with databases, reporting tools, project management software (ClickUp! preferred), CRM (Salesforce preferred), and Microsoft office. Analytical Ability: Skilled at interpreting complex instructions and documentation, solving problems, and drawing valid conclusions. Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Operational Agility: Ability to operate in a highly collaborative environment, while working independently and being self-motivated. Commitment to confidentiality, discretion, and high standards to effectively oversee sensitive personnel and organizational information. Expertise: Ability to read, analyze, interpret and follow a variety of instructions and procedures; Apply proven project management methodologies to drive results and foster team collaboration. Ability to explain detailed, complex concepts to technical and non-technical users. Relationships: Ability to build professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders and successfully communicate verbally and in writing. Physical Requirements Ability to work regularly at a computer in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.
