Description The Retail Environments Project Manager operates with a high degree of independence managing design, production, and installation for store design projects. Interfacing with the Design Services teams, this position will manage the efforts of GSP’s design, production, and installation teams to impact store rebranding projects. Incumbent coordinates and implements designs, procures materials, and manages installation for store resets and remodels. Responsibilities include improvement projects to enhance sales and image of retail environments with a focus on C-store. Incumbent will coordinate with customers, vendors, subcontractors, and internal partners in the execution of duties. Broad knowledge of project management and vendor management is required to execute the daily function of the role in addition to knowledge of general construction practices and procedures. Focus will be on commitment to brand execution, setting expectations and managing daily challenges. This position also requires a passion for brand development, C-store retail development, customer interaction and celebrating success. Duties and Responsibilities: Project manages remodel projects in with a focus on chain rollouts Coordinates with internal and external vendor teams on construction and brand implementation projects for light remodels Coordinates with subcontractors, third party vendors, project team members and other departments to ensure successful project completion Prepare cost estimates, track expenses and work timetables for client and internal teams Able to respond in a timely manner to work delays, and issues on site as they arise, effective communication skills necessary with vendors and internal communication Manage follow up punch lists and all levels of finish to meet project expectation Ensure projects are of good quality, completed on time, and within budget Make daily updates to tracking documents to meet project deadlines Prepare completion presentations for client approval and billing Develops positive working relationships internally and externally Education and Experience: Higher education or relevant experience. Any knowledge of construction and project management including production is a plus Skills, Abilities and Competencies: Advanced skills in project management with ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects Knowledge of store remodeling a plus Knowledge of materials, vendors, and resources for retail store environments Knowledge of construction and understanding of general constructing processes and ability to communicate effectively with third party vendor Solutions orientation with strong collaborative problem-solving ability Analytical skills to include planning, organizing, directing, and controlling workflow and processes Highly organized, with strong attention to detail and follow up Ability to interact with the team in a fast-paced environment, remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful, and efficient Ability to manage large workload, producing quality work in a fast-paced environment with interruptions and deadlines Demonstrated ability to deal courteously and professionally with diverse external and internal customers such as creative and production departments as well as develop positive working relationships with vendors and subcontractors Advanced ability to communicate verbally and in writing in English Proficiency with PCs to include knowledge of MS Office (Teams Suite, Smartsheet’s, Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), maintaining data bases, generating information, and tracking status using proprietary software Ability to work remotely and independently with little direct supervision Ability to convey a professional image of honesty and concern for customers' needs, client first mentality Ability to contribute to building a strong and positive team spirit as well as align with GSP values a must Must be able to travel as needed to support project execution, including on-site installation oversight and punch walks.
