JOB SUMMARY:

The Project Manager will oversee and deliver multi-layer, compliance-focused technology initiatives within one of Canada’s leading financial institutions. The role requires a combination of strong stakeholder management, hybrid Agile/Waterfall project delivery, and deep familiarity with the financial services industry.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Project Management Life Cycle (PMLC) expertise
  • Financial services industry experience
  • Agile and PDLC hybrid delivery experience
  • Proficiency with Jira and Confluence
  • MS Visio and MS Project proficiency

NICE-TO-HAVE EXPERIENCE:

  • Compliance or audit project delivery experience

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Proven ability to lead complex IT projects in a regulated industry
  • Financial and risk management capability

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Process improvement and governance methodology contribution
  • Familiarity with enterprise financial systems
Responsibilities
  • Stakeholder Partnership & Communication: Lead and collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders, adapting communication style to suit different audiences. Influence project sponsors, business leaders, and other partners.
  • Ownership & Commitment: Own project success, ensuring delivery of agreed scope, cost, timeline, and quality objectives. Manage project financials, resolve issues, and ensure accurate reporting.
  • Business Knowledge: Align project goals with business objectives and customer impacts. Navigate the organization to achieve results.
  • Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate major project risks in alignment with organizational risk profiles.
  • Process Adherence: Follow enterprise project methodology and governance standards. Contribute to process improvement and methodology best practices.
  • Judgment: Apply financial acumen to evaluate and address risks, ensuring accurate financial outcomes.
