Description

Overview:
As a Project Manager within the Technology Transition Division at Hepburn and Sons LLC, you will be joining innovators to lead technology development, grow our engineering capabilities, and support our customers in the Defense industry – integrating technology for our warfighter capabilities. You will be welcomed into a group with diverse expertise and engineering backgrounds that are dedicated to mentor and support our entire work staff at all levels. You will work with a multi-disciplinary engineering team on a variety of engineering efforts and lead technology innovation for DoD applications, with a focus in U.S. Navy applications of shipboard power system technologies.

Responsibilities
  • Lead project management alongside an R&D engineering team environment and collaborate with the Director of Technology Transition on program status and any programmatic challenges balancing scope, cost, and schedule per project
  • Manage achievement of project milestones and objectives, solving unique and complex problems that have a broad impact upon company growth and ultimately for the warfighter
  • Provide leadership oversight and guidance for the R&D project portfolio regarding reporting, data management, tools, and processes
  • Interface and coordinate with internal teammates, external customers, and stakeholders to define objectives, provide status updates, and drive towards impact
  • Facilitate technology demonstrations, qualification programs, requirements development, and design space exploration
  • Perform risk assessments, risk mitigation planning, and maintenance of risk registers
