Responsibilities

MAIN PURPOSE:

Coordinate and manage all assigned project management functions including but not limited to being the liaison between company and customer/customers and on-site inspectors. Manage the direction of project scheduling and yard operations for specified projects. Communicate on project status with management, to include project cost, risk assessments and verification of materials for project. Report completion of assigned projects within allotted time periods and profit projections.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Review project contracts and ensure in-depth working knowledge of job specifications, material requirements and completion dates
  • Coordinate and direct project activities with applicable operational personnel (yard supt. etc.) to ensure open flow of communications whereby avoiding delays, cost over runs, and fabrication errors
  • Maintain positive liaison with customer, on site customer inspectors, management, etc. to ensure open line of communication regarding customer concerns, complaints, change orders, etc. and follow-up accordingly with all applicable company management and supervisors
  • Communicate with Purchasing Department regarding scheduling of material delivery, material specifications, origins, cost, etc.
  • in order to ensure coordination of operational functions and timely receipt of material in that both will comply with contract specifications and schedules
  • Review and approve work schedules for assigned projects, material requisitions, percent completed schedules/reports. Request from operations regarding specification requirements vs. standard fabrication procedures, design overnights. etc
  • Ensure that anticipated cost overruns, operational/fabrication issues are communicated to management and provide options and recommendations to resolve the issues at hand
  • Perform other duties assigned by supervisor
