This is a hybrid position with a 2-3 day in office requirement. What You’ll Do Lead critical business projects from concept to completion, providing a clear vision, actionable goals, and a structured plan to deliver value. Build strong project foundations by defining key metrics and success measures with business owners. Create and maintain detailed project plans and reports, ensuring alignment, clarity, and accountability. Drive team success by removing barriers, solving problems collaboratively, and escalating issues when needed to ensure momentum. Apply proven methodologies—Agile, Lean, Six Sigma, and other best practices—to maximize efficiency and ROI. Partner across the organization to integrate multiple projects, streamline operations, and drive cross-functional efficiencies. Develop and implement metrics to track progress, performance, and value delivery. Proactively identify process improvement opportunities across projects and operational teams. Deliver clear, concise, and timely status updates to leadership and stakeholders. Ensure accuracy and quality through strong business cases, process reviews, and testing validation. Lead project teams to create enhanced business value, focused on measurable outcomes and strong ROI. Uphold and model UPMC’s core values in all interactions and decisions. Support Operations’ strategic goals and contribute to broader system-level initiatives. Manage both technology and business process improvements, ensuring value realization across operations. Champion effective change management, ensuring teams understand, adopt, and sustain new processes across functional areas. Major in in engineering, business, mathematics, statistics, health care, management, or related field. Master's degree preferred (extensive related - 4+yrs - experience will be considered). 4+ years of experience in operations. 2+ years of experience in project management. PMP Certification. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills. Strong management, problem solving, organizational, and communication skills (oral and written) are required. Excellent Project Management skills. Ability to perform planning for multiple and/or large initiatives/projects, managing all tasks required to provide services to meet client and business needs within budget and targeted deadlines. Ability to effectively manage project business value, scope, time, cost, quality, people, communication, risk, procurement & vendors, and stakeholders. Excellent computer skills required, including Access, Excel, Word, Microsoft Project, and other pertinent software applications. Experience in health care insurance or health care industry preferred.
