POSITION SUMMARY

AEI Consultants has an opportunity available for a full-time Environmental Project Manager to perform various environmental due diligence projects within our HUD Services division.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are seeking a professional, dedicated, enthusiastic addition to a collaborative team environment who possesses the following experience, skills and attributes:

  • Experience performing environmental due diligence projects, such as Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) preferred
  • Experience in or knowledge of the Related Federal Laws and Authorities as described under the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) of 1969, including but not limited to Historic Preservation, Floodplain Management, Wetlands Protection, and Noise Abatement, etc.
  • Experience with completing Part 50 and Part 58 Environmental Review Records for local, state and federal agencies
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in assessing various property types (including but not limited to gas stations, dry cleaners, printing facilities, industrial and manufacturing sites, and automotive repair and body shops) preferred
  • Experience in evaluating all types of environmental regulatory cases, such as LUST, State Hazardous Wastes, CERCLIS, and NPL sites preferred
  • Experience with HEROS (HUD Environmental Review Online System) preferred
  • Excellent writing skills required
  • Be extremely organized and have great time management and multi-tasking skills
  • Personable and able to communicate with people at all levels
  • Willingness to travel if necessary
  • Must be a self-starter, resourceful, and have the ability to work productively on multiple projects at a time under strict deadlines with guidance from senior staff
  • State regulatory knowledge preferred
  • Experience with Phase II Subsurface Investigations and/or Remediation Work is a plus
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and Corel DRAW a plus
  • Experience with managing various vendors and subcontractors preferred
  • Bidding and project cost estimation preferred

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, engineering or geology-related science

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

The work environment may be both indoors and outdoors. Indoor work takes place in a typical office setting. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Outdoor work requires the ability to effectively perform work in all types of weather conditions. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, type, handle office and/or field equipment, speak and hear. The employee may occasionally be required to stand, walk, balance, kneel or crouch. The employee may be required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to focus.
