Description POSITION: Project Manager – HUD Environmental Services LOCATION: Dallas, TX or Houston, TX POSITION SUMMARY AEI Consultants has an opportunity available for a full-time Environmental Project Manager to perform various environmental due diligence projects within our HUD Services division. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Environmental reviews State and federal regulatory program file reviews Field investigations Basic understanding of commercial real estate lending and finance Performance of environmental due diligence projects QUALIFICATIONS We are seeking a professional, dedicated, enthusiastic addition to a collaborative team environment who possesses the following experience, skills and attributes: Experience performing environmental due diligence projects, such as Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) preferred Extensive knowledge and experience in assessing various property types preferred Experience in evaluating all types of environmental regulatory cases, such as LUST, State Hazardous Wastes, CERCLIS, and NPL sites preferred Experience, knowledge or interest in the Related Federal Laws and Authorities as described under the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) of 1969, including but not limited to Historic Preservation, Floodplain Management, Wetlands Protection, and Noise Abatement, etc. Ability to consult with local, state and federal agencies Experience with completing Part 50 and Part 58 Environmental Review Records for local, state and federal agencies a plus Willingness to populate the HUD Environmental Review Online Systems (HEROS) platform Excellent writing skills required Be extremely organized and have great time management and multi-tasking skills Personable and able to communicate with people at all levels Willingness to travel EDUCATION Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, engineering or geology-related science preferred LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS Current Radon license/certification preferred Current OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER training certification, asbestos inspector, and/or lead-based paint certification preferred PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS The work environment may be both indoors and outdoors. Indoor work takes place in a typical office setting. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Outdoor work requires the ability to effectively perform work in all types of weather conditions. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, type, handle office and/or field equipment, speak and hear. The employee may occasionally be required to stand, walk, balance, kneel or crouch. The employee may be required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to focus.
