POSITION OVERVIEW:

Reporting to the Manager PMO & Digital Planning this position plays an integral role in the successful delivery of Information & Digital Services projects within THP. The Project Manager will work within the Information & Digital Services team to plan and deliver projects for key programs, bridging the gap between business processes, requirements, technology and leading the implementation of solutions. This individual will be responsible for overseeing multiple projects and ensuring a smooth delivery of solutions to programs. A highly skilled, evidence driven individual with exceptional analytical, project management and people skills will excel in this position.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

  • Bachelor degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology or Healthcare Administration related field required
  • At least 3-7 years direct work experience in a project management capacity, including all aspects of process development and execution
  • Certified Project Management Professional(PMP) in good standing required
  • Experience delivering projects in the Technology and the Healthcare industry
  • Experience preparing and maintaining monthly consolidated project financial reports, managing invoice payments, accrual and reconciliation
  • Coordinate all internal resources and third-party vendors for the flawless execution of project
  • Strong analytical capabilities, strategic thinking and business acumen
  • Healthcare experience and/or experience with Hospital Information Systems (HIS) is preferred
  • Knowledge of clinical processes and experience in healthcare environment is preferred
  • In-depth knowledge of PMIs project management (PMBOK) methodology and experience in developing business cases, project charters, executive summary reports, and statement of work (scope definition) documents
  • Experience and understanding of how to effectively manage change, integration and improvement projects
  • Strong familiarity with related management software, such as MS Project, Visio, MS Office, SharePoint is required
  • Excellent communication skills - ability to articulate analytical results and tell a story
  • Demonstrated experience in team and resource management
  • Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential
  • Ability to work under pressure with changing priorities in a complex environment
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to efficiently handle several tasks simultaneouslyFamiliarity with public-sector procurement and exposure to eHealth an asset.

Responsibilities
  • Produce project work plans in coordination with appropriate internal and external stakeholders to establish project scope, deliverables, budgets, accountabilities, schedules, timelines, resources, monitoring, and post project audit/evaluation
  • Drafting business cases and proposals for senior leadership review and approval
  • Contributes to the development and evaluation of RFPs
  • Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents
  • Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion
  • The ability to lead project teams and foster relationships and communications amongst team members internally and externally
  • Liaise with project resources on an ongoing basis
  • Coordinate all internal resources and third-party vendors for the flawless execution of projects
  • Draft and submit budget proposals and resources, and recommend budget changes where necessary
  • Manage the daily operational aspects of a project providing project management expertise and guidance, enforcing project standards, anticipating and troubleshooting issues and minimizing the hospital’s exposure to risk
  • Plan, schedule and manage project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools within the PMO & Digital Planning team
  • Develop, manage and deliver status reports, requirements documentation, and presentations
  • Conduct project post mortems and lessons learned and create a recommendations report in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements
  • Lead the development of standard operating procedures (SOP) and business processes for the delivery and communication of projects
  • Contribution and leadership in continuous process improvement of Project Management Best Practices is integral to the roleTravelling between THP’s three hospital sites, Credit Valley Hospital, Mississauga Hospital, Queensway Health Centre and remote sites as required
